• The first Singapore dance crew representing Funk dance

Chunky starts teaching Locking at O School

• The first time the general public has access to learning pure Locking

The Big Groove by O School

• Wrecking Crew Orchestra (Japan) is invited to perform and teach
• Hanai & UU become the first overseas Locking instructors to teach a workshop in Singapore

Lion City Lockers is founded (17/3/08)

• Chris Su from KDSP proposes to form a Locking crew, with a name that pays homage to Singapore's first Breaking crew - Lion City Rockers
• Chunky counter-proposes to create a community. Chris Su gives his blessings and Lion City Lockers is born

• This marks the beginning of many Locking events to come

NTU Soul Funky is first founded as a sub-club under NTU Breakers (22/9/08)

• Founded by Fabian Wong, with classes taught by KS

Floor The Love 2008

• Lion City Lockers' first performance
• Chunky and Fong win 2nd place for 2v2 Locking. This is the first time a Singapore duo has faced an overseas duo (Taiwan) in a battle final.

CeeKay takes over Lion City Lockers

Fbodzi's Lockers meet and learn from Greg Campbellock Jr

• Fong, CeeKay, KS, Jin and Diane travel to Taiwan to perform at Max Party VI
• The first time Singapore's Lockers learn from an OG

The Basic Fives is formed

• Singapore's first pure Locking showcase group
• An important group that greatly elevated the visibility of Locking by exposing Locking to the showcase scene, and would become famous in SEA and East Asia
• Members: Fong, Jin, Daphne, Diane, K-Lock, KS (2009), Rachel (2010), KK (2011), Cherron (2011), CeeKay (2011)
• "The Superstars of Locking in Singapore" ~ Fong

The Basic Fives win 2nd place in the Suntec Dance Competition 2009

• They become the first Locking showcase group to place top 3 in a local showcase competition

The Basic Fives win 1st place in the Gatsby Dance Competition World Finals (Japan) 2009

• The first Singapore Locking group to win an international showcase competition

The Basic Fives win 2nd place at Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 1

• Organised by O School with judges from Japan
• This brought a huge boost to the popularity of Locking amongst the public
• Hence began "the golden days of Singapore Locking" ~ Fong

Chunky represents Singapore and wins Top 8 at the R16 World Finals (Korea)

• First time Singapore is involved in "Respect 16"
• Significant representation for Singapore in the international Locking battle scene

Chunky & Fong choreograph a Locking item for O School's dance recital

• The first ever pure Locking item in a O School Dance recital that is open to public participation
• "Where many of our leading Lockers had their first taste of Locking" ~ Chunky

DJ Bolo brings Juste Debout to Singapore (22/1/11)

CeeKay & Chunky represent Singapore at Top 16 in the Juste Debout Locking Finals
